💛 Bereavement Café – A warm, welcoming space for anyone experiencing loss
Grief can feel very lonely, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
Our Bereavement Café is a drop-in space open to everyone, whether your loss is recent or some time ago. Come along for a cuppa, a chat, or simply some company in a friendly and understanding environment.
☕ No booking needed
💬 Come and talk, or just listen
🤝 Meet others who understand
🌿 A safe, relaxed and supportive space
You don’t need to be a member of the church, have a faith, or be religious in any way to attend. Although we meet in a church building, the café is non-faith-based and open to all.
There’s no pressure to talk about your grief — just come as you are.

The first ever Bournville and Weoley Castle Youth Fest is this Sunday (9th August)! 🤩 Parents, guardians, grandparents spread the word! They’ll be loads of free activities for young people aged 11+, including:
🎨 Crafts and art
👩‍🍳 Cooking and food
⚽ Sports
🎶 Music
🚲 Bike servicing
👍 Much more!
This free event is organised by Bournville Village Trust, Bournville Parish Church, St Francis of Assisi, Love Weoley Castle, Niyyah Community Enterprise CIC, Selly Manor Museum and St Francis Youth and Community Centre. See less

💙 It was a real pleasure to welcome the wonderful residents and team from Lucton House Care Home to St Francis Youth & Community Centre.

We love bringing people together and creating opportunities for our community to connect, share stories and enjoy time together. Seeing smiles, conversations and new friendships is what community is all about. 😊

🌈 What a fantastic day! 🌈

St Francis Youth & Community Centre and Bournville Parish Church were delighted to work together at this wonderful community event, and we had such a great time meeting so many local families and residents. 💙💛

🫧 Our Bubble Fun brought lots of smiles and laughter.
🔑 Children enjoyed getting creative by making their own colourful keyrings.
🌟 We gave away lots of FREE stickers.
💌 It was also lovely to see so many 'Messages of Hope', with many people taking a moment to read and reflect.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to say hello, joined in the activities, and helped make the day so special. It was wonderful to celebrate our community together and be part of such a welcoming and inclusive event.
