Northfield Beach is now over for another year. Huge thanks to all at Northfield Community Partnership for all their hard work and commitment to running the beach each year and ensuring everyone attending has a wonderful, and safe, time. The planning for next year starts now!

We are so grateful to the National Lottery for such a generous award, this will help us to keep running over the next 5 years!
National Lottery applications take a lot of time and effort to complete and I want to give a shout out to our amazing CEO Rebecca Debenham whose dedication and skill made today’s award possible!

“Due to a delay in installation of Car Park Machines, the ANPR Cameras at Northfield Shopping Centre will be switched off and all car parking will be free until this has been resolved.”

It was great to welcome the Lord Mayor of Birmingham to Northfield Beach yesterday. We appreciate him coming to see the Beach in action, show such an interest in what is on offer and pose for all the photos that people attending took with him. Thank you Lord Mayor!
Today is Dinosaur Day, come along and meet T-Rex. We also have a very special event happening at 12 noon which is the culmination of months of hard work by our amazing staff team, come along and join in the celebrations!

A huge thank you to the Lord Mayor for visiting today! It was a pleasure to welcome you, have your support, and share everything that makes our beach so special. 💚

Thinking of Peter and all Carole’s family this morning as they say goodbye to her. An amazing woman with a huge heart, those who know Carole will know her for her kindness and generosity and for her unwavering commitment to the community she served.
Can’t really imagine life without her, when she could make everything seem better with a cuppa and a chat. She will be missed by all of us who had the privilege to know her.

Some of you will have already heard the very sad news that Carole Griffiths has passed away.

My thoughts are with her family and friends, and especially her husband, Peter.

Carole served as Councillor for Longbridge between 2016 and 2018, and as the longstanding Chair of Birmingham Northfield Labour Party.

In her working life, Carole - a qualified nurse - worked in the NHS and in the community. She was also an enthusiastic supporter of The Project, Longbridge.

At all times, whether as a councillor or as a volunteer, her commitment to the community she served shone through. Her legacy is in the thousands of people that she treated, and assisted with problems great and small.

For those who knew Carole, the details of her funeral will be confirmed soon. I would like to extend thanks to the staff of Birmingham Hospice who cared for Carole in her final days.

A huge thank you to everyone who plays the National Lottery, this funding will enable NCP to continue to support residents in Northfield, and city wide for some projects.
The amount of work that goes into a Lottery application of this size is enormous so I want to give an enormous shout out to NCP staff and our indefatigable CEO, Rebecca Debenham, for all the hard work to help secure this funding. We have an amazing staff team who are completely committed to helping make life better for Northfield residents! 🎉 👏🏻🎉

Exciting News!!!! Northfield Community Partnership has received more than £1 million of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, thanks to National Lottery players.

Great to see Wychall Primary School receiving the funding for a free breakfast club to help support children having the best start to their school day, this is the difference a Labour government makes after years of austerity under the Tories!

Brilliant news that seven more schools are getting new funding for free breakfast clubs from September.

These clubs help kids start the day right, provide some help with the cost of living for parents, and free up money in the budgets of schools that are providing breakfast already.

These new clubs come on top of the funding previously announced for Bellfield, Merritts Brook, Forestdale, and Albert Bradbeer.

Great for them to be joined by Holly Hill, Princethorpe (both Infants and Juniors), Our Lady and St Rose of Lima, Reaside, Paganel, and Wychall Primary.
