A SPIRITUAL REFUGE
Tulsidas says in Hanuman Chalisa, (Verse 23) that taking spiritual refuge means total surrender to the deity one is worshipping.
**SAB SUKH LAHE TUMARI SHARANA,
TUM RAKSHAK KAHU KO DARNA**
In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says to take refuge in him.
Spiritual refuge is a total Surrender
During spiritual refuge a person who has nothing and whose soul is fully dependant only surrenders to lotus feet of god
Instead of the temporary relief of an aspirin or paracetamol, refuge is a source of help, relief, or comfort during a time of trouble
For a devotee when the love, respect and faith for the God is at its fullest, everything becomes his ‘bid’ and has total belief in the God
Devotee’s life revolves around the happiness found in Gods plays, katha’s etc. All thoughts vanishes only single thought which is concentrated on the God
To know God is to love God. Therefore the path of devotion and of knowledge are same according to the above verse
एक आध्यात्मिक आश्रय
हनुमान चालीसा (श्लोक 23) में तुलसीदास कहते हैं कि आध्यात्मिक शरण लेने का अर्थ है जिस देवता की पूजा की जा रही है, उसके प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण।
**सब सुख लाहे तुम्हारी शरण,
तुम रक्षक काहू को डरना**
भगवत गीता में श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं कि उनकी शरण में जाओ।
आध्यात्मिक शरण पूर्ण समर्पण है।
आध्यात्मिक शरण में, वह व्यक्ति जिसके पास कुछ भी नहीं है और जिसकी आत्मा पूरी तरह से ईश्वर पर निर्भर है, केवल ईश्वर के चरण कमलों में ही शरण लेता है।
एस्पिरिन या पैरासिटामोल जैसी क्षणिक राहत के बजाय, शरण संकट के समय सहायता, राहत और सांत्वना का स्रोत है।
एक भक्त के लिए, जब ईश्वर के प्रति प्रेम, आदर और आस्था अपने चरम पर होती है, तो सब कुछ उसका 'आदेश' बन जाता है और उसे ईश्वर में पूर्ण विश्वास होता है।
भक्त का जीवन ईश्वर की लीलाओं, कथाओं आदि में मिलने वाले आनंद के इर्द-गिर्द घूमता है। सभी विचार विलीन हो जाते हैं, केवल एक ही विचार रह जाता है जो ईश्वर पर केंद्रित होता है।
ईश्वर को जानना ही ईश्वर से प्रेम करना है। इसलिए उपरोक्त श्लोक के अनुसार, भक्ति और ज्ञान का मार्ग एक ही है।
