Your favourite footballer may never know your name. They don’t think about you, they don’t pray for you, and they don’t truly care about your life.

Yet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved this Ummah deeply. He worried for us, prayed for us, and longed to meet us—even though we came after him.

So ask yourself: who deserves your love, admiration and loyalty? A celebrity who doesn’t know you exist, or the Prophet ﷺ who cared for your salvation?

If we’re looking for someone to follow, let it be the one whose character, guidance and example lead to success in this life and the next.

How many families have been torn apart by one moment of anger? How many friendships have ended, and how many words have been spoken that could never be taken back?

The Prophet ﷺ repeatedly advised: “Do not become angry.” When anger rises, follow the Sunnah: seek refuge in Allah, make wudū, change your position, and remove yourself from the situation. A few moments of patience can save years of regret.

May Allah grant us the ability to control our anger, beautify our character, and follow the example of His Messenger ﷺ. Āmīn.
