Come along to this fabulous event raising funds for ellenor. This year the event is being held in one of the bigger car parks giving more room for more cars.

Recently a group of Lions, including members of SEBI, were invited to visit the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance at their base in Redhill. They wanted to say 'Thank you' for the monies raised for them at the annual Bluebell walks in Arlington. The Lions have purchased a Rapid Response vehicle and several items of equipment that allow the crew to work as an A & E dept both in the air and on the ground when they attend an incident.

🦁👓Lions National HQ - Spectacle Recycling Update & Collection Pause👓🦁

We are writing to let you know that there will be a short interruption to our service of collecting and accepting spectacles and other items such as hearing aids at Lions National HQ-Birmingham

A comprehensive redecoration and refurbishment is being undertaken and due to the presence of contractors onsite we will not be able to accept deliveries in the way we usually do. Our volunteers will not be onsite to do the sorting either

We anticipate that our normal service will resume by mid-October. This gives us the necessary time to complete the refurbishment and ensure everything is back in order. Once normal service returns, we will be able to resume taking deliveries by prior phone booking, as we do currently.

As many of you will know, the Recycle for Sight project has already made an enormous difference to many around the world

Over the past five years we have worked together to collect, sort and despatch millions of pairs of glasses; your commitment has made the spectacle recycling project truly an outstanding success

We are now asking for your support and patience during this brief period. We will return with improved facilities that will help us better serve you and continue strengthening the spectacle recycling project

This is only a temporary halt while the redecoration takes place

As always, we remain grateful for your efforts on this project and in fact all the items we recycle.

If you have any questions, please keep an eye on updates, or give us a call, once the refurbishment is complete, we will contact you to confirm the process for deliveries again. If you are already booked in to deliver glasses to HQ we will accept these deliveries but we will not be accepting further deliveries whilst the redecoration is taking place
