It is only 2 weeks until our September quiz night, where has the summer gone?

We are all ready for Monday 14th September and here are the prizes for the winning team. Three bottles of an Italian Vermentio white w**e (2023) and three bottles of a French Beaujolais Superieur red w**e (2023)

Have you been busy topping up your general knowledge over the long hot summer and are ready to be crowned the winners of our September 2026 quiz? Looking forward to seeing you all for a great night of fun and friendship.

Time to share details of the great raffle prizes for our next quiz night, on Monday 14th September 2026.

There is a relaxing Champneys Slumber Spa set, a garden wind mobile and a wonderful crocodile 🐊 xylophone, which any child will love but may have their parents reaching for the Paracetamol!

Gents can pamper themselves with a Pecksniffs leather and oak moss body care set or chill out with a box of Lindt truffles and a glass of Limoncello.🍋

We have some Cole and Lewis travel toiletries and a travel w**e bag which comes with a bottle of Prosecco 🍾, 2 glasses, a bottle stopper and a corkscrew.

Look at this fabulous teddy bear 🧸called Vincent, who has some rather snazzy sunglasses, don't you just love him.

If you love a soak in the bath, then we have a bath bundle which includes a pillow, candle, soaps and bubble bath.

As the days become cooler after a scorching hot summer, you may want our umbrella, gloves and handcream set.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at £1 a strip.

This thank you Thursday we would like to shine a light on our fantastic Kings Norton Fundraising Group, who work tirelessly all year round to fundraise for Birmingham Hospice 👏

They host their famous quizzes four times a year as well as volunteering their time at other events.

Last financial year they raised an incredible £5,180.04. Thank you to all of the members of the group for everything they do!

Our next quiz night is on Monday 14th September 2026 at the Stirchley United Club, in the function room. Doors open ay 7.15pm and the quiz starts at 8pm prompt. All proceeds go to Birmingham Hospice.

Entry is £4 per person (pay on the door) with a maximum of 6 people per team. The winning team will win a bottle of w**e for each team member. There will be a raffle and details of the raffle prizes will be posted nearer the time.

We hope you are enjoying the cooler weather and we look forward to seeing you all in September, for another fun quiz night.

A good time was had by those who attended our 70's and 80's disco. Unfortunately some of the photos were blurry, due to the fabulous dance moves on show. Apologises that so many photos seem to include a man in a dodgy white suit 🤣🤣

We raised £465 for Birmingham Hospice whilst having lots of fun.

As a teenager in the 1980's Alison loved her legwarmers, including a rainbow striped pair 🫣

Never did she dream that forty years later, she would be buying a pair of bright pink leg warmers!! The things you do in the name of charity🤣

So Jules finally gets to own a John Travolta Saturday Night Fever white suit, which he dreamed of owning as a teenager 🤭🤩🕺

Hopefully it will only have a one night appearance, 🤔 so make sure you are at our 70's and 80's disco tomorrow, where he will be greeting you all at the door. Autographs will be available for a small donation to the fundraising evening!
