What does it mean to age well?

In our latest podcast and quarterly newsletter, we hear from nutritionist Fiona Allan, Amber Cahill from Move it or Lose it, and Charlie Jacobs, a citizen who has benefited from some of the ENNS funded activities supporting older adults.

With healthy ageing high on the national agenda, this edition explores the importance of staying active, connected and well as we get older.

What a fantastic day at our Digital Tools for Storytelling workshop! πŸ“±πŸŽ™οΈ

The hands-on practice with video and audio recording really brought the learning to life, creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, and cross-learning among participants.

By exploring free apps and the tools already built into our mobile phones, grassroots groups and volunteers discovered how to capture impactful stories without the need for expensive equipment.

There was plenty of energy, laughter, creativity, and shared learning throughout the day. Everyone left with new skills, practical tips, and fresh ideas to take back to their communities and put into action.

Yesterday, we were delighted to attend the Volunteer Celebration Event at Moseley Hall Hospital, organised by Birmingham Community Healthcare Charity.

As part of Volunteers' Week, it was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and thank the incredible volunteers who generously give their time to support local communities.

We were especially honoured to thank the volunteers who helped put together our Dementia Carer Bags for Edgbaston NNS. Their time and dedication make a real difference.

A huge thank you to our own volunteers, Ivy and Lubna, for everything you do – your contribution is truly valued and appreciated.
