As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, it promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender. Our projects include food assistance, water, livelihoods, and Orphans support. Our projects are supported by the community both locally, nationally, and internationally.

Imagine being so overwhelmed by poverty, hunger and hopelessness that you feel you have nothing left to live for, except your children.

This is the heartbreaking reality facing some families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan. For parents struggling to put food on the table, the daily burden can feel unbearable.

A freshly cooked meal may seem like a small thing to some of us, but for a family facing extreme hardship, it can mean one less worry, one less hungry child and a little breathing space during their darkest days.

Why do we personally visit the people we support?

At Jigsaw Charity, we believe our responsibility doesn't end when a donation is made. We want to see, firsthand, the difference your generosity is making to people's lives.

By visiting the communities we support, meeting beneficiaries and listening to their experiences, we can better understand the impact our work is having on them and their families.

Today, the Jigsaw Charity team had the pleasure of visiting MAA Foundation’s Head Office, where we officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the beginning of an important partnership to support cancer patients in Azad Kashmir.

As part of this commitment, Jigsaw Charity is proud to contribute £15,000 towards MAA Foundation’s cancer treatment project, helping to provide vital support to patients and families facing the devastating impact of cancer.

For many families across Azad Kashmir, the cost of cancer treatment is simply beyond their financial means. No family should have to face the heartbreaking reality of being unable to access potentially life-saving treatment because they cannot afford it. Through this partnership, we hope to help ease that burden, improve access to essential care and give more patients the opportunity to receive the treatment they desperately need.

At Jigsaw Charity, we believe that access to medical treatment should not be determined by a family’s financial circumstances. By working together with organisations such as MAA Foundation, we can help bring hope to those facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.

We look forward to building on this partnership and making a meaningful difference to the lives of cancer patients and their families in Azad Kashmir.

It was a pleasure and an honour for the Jigsaw team to be invited to the 21st Anniversary celebration of KORT, held in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.

The event brought together local and international supporters of KORT, providing a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the organisation’s achievements and the positive impact it continues to make across AJK.

It was truly inspiring to see the incredible work being carried out by KORT to support local communities, particularly the development of the new hospital complex, which will provide vital healthcare services and benefit generations to come.

We would like to thank KORT for the kind invitation and congratulate the entire team on reaching this important milestone. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and impact in the years ahead.

Earning with their own hands is exactly what these individuals wanted, but they had nothing to start with.. Together with Zeynab Foundation and Jigsaw Charity, our Livelihood Support Programme handed 10 deserving people, the means to earn for themselves. For each of them, this is the start of a steadier life and for their families, a reason to hope.

🇵🇰 Why food parcels matter

In the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, around 1 in 3 households are food insecure.

Behind that statistic are families who don't know where their next meal is coming from — families living in communities where poverty, unemployment, remoteness and limited opportunities make it incredibly difficult to meet even their most basic needs.

This is why, as a charity, we believe support must be based on need.

We strongly believe in sustainable solutions, and where appropriate we want to help communities become self-reliant through projects such as sustainable livelihoods.

But not every community is ready for, or suited to, the same type of intervention.

When a family is struggling to put food on the table, their immediate need is food.

That is why our food parcel project specifically targets communities where food insecurity is a pressing reality. A food parcel may seem simple, but for a struggling family, it can provide essential support when they need it most.

Every community has different needs. Our responsibility is to identify those needs and respond with the right solution.

Because effective charity isn't about doing the same thing everywhere.

It's about helping people with what they need most.
