🌟 Tender Opportunity: We’re looking for an inclusive exercise instructor! 🌟

CASBA has secured two years of funding to deliver 40 accessible exercise classes per year for people with learning disabilities and other additional needs — and we’re now inviting Expressions of Interest from instructors who can help us bring this project to life.

This programme was co produced with the people who will use it. Their top priorities are simple but powerful:
✔️ A welcoming, comfortable space
✔️ Seeing people like themselves
✔️ Classes led by a kind, patient, understanding instructor

In Year 1, sessions will run at Touchbase Pears in Selly Oak, a fully accessible venue where our community feels at home.

In Year 2, we hope to expand elsewhere in South Birmingham, experience of Hall Green, is a bonus.

By year three, we would want to see that people have made the transition to mainstream inclusive exercise.
We feel that this aim of transition would be integral to this project and start as early as possible, so habits and confidence are established and effective for when the project ends.

If you’re an instructor who believes in inclusion, adapts sessions with confidence, and brings warmth and kindness to your teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

🌟 Tender Opportunity: We’re looking for an inclusive cooking instructor! 🌟

CASBA has secured two years of funding to deliver 30 accessible cooking sessions per year for people with learning disabilities and other additional needs — and we’re now inviting Expressions of Interest from cooks who can help us bring this project to life.

These sessions were co produced with the people who will use them. Their priorities were clear:

✔️ Learning how to cook healthy meals
✔️ Feeling welcome and comfortable
✔️ Being in a space where they see people like themselves
✔️ Having classes led by kind, patient, understanding instructors

In Year 1, sessions will take place in a fully accessible professional kitchen in Northfield.

In Year 2, we hope to move into a different area in South Birmingham and our sights are set on Hall Green, so experience in that area is a bonus.

If you’re a cook who believes in inclusion, adapts sessions with confidence, and brings warmth and kindness to your teaching, we’d love to hear from you.
