This is a NEW application which means that the process has started again - meaning letters of support or objection will also need to be re-submitted. The Plaistow Village Trust will be OBJECTING as we did before. Objections will need to be made before the 22 April (which is 7 days from now).

The Parish Council Planning and Open Spaces Committee will meet to consider the NEW application TONIGHT on 14th April at 19:30 in Kelsey Hall, Ifold.

Many of the Trustees are attending tonight but we would encourage everyone to attend if you can - so that we can show just how seriously we are concerned about this development and the irreversible damage it will cause to our village.

Foxbridge Gold Club

The PVT has objected to the Foxbridge proposal. The application is for a wellbeing and leisure development comprising up to 121 holiday units; the construction of a spa with accommodation of up to 50 bedrooms; the conversion of the former clubhouse into a restaurant and farm shop; the formation of a new vehicular access from Foxbridge Lane, new internal roads, footpaths, cycle routes and car parking areas; the construction of a concierge building and new hard and soft landscaping, including the formation of new ponds. All matters reserved except for means of access.

The Chichester District Council Planning Committee are considering this application this week, on Wednesday 15 April 2026 at 09:30am in the Committee Rooms, East Pallant House, Chichester, PO19 1TY.
This meeting is open to the public. We encourage local residents to attend the meeting if you are able to. You can also elect to speak at the meeting and voice your objection. You must let the Chairman know at the start of the meeting that you wish to speak.

Plaistow Football Field

The Plaistow Village Trust (PVT) are looking to secure further donations towards the purchase of the football field.
For those not aware, the PVT made an offer to buy the Football Field earlier in the summer which has been accepted. This followed some discussions by local residents who expressed a keen interest to protect the site as a football field and who were willing to help with raising funds to underwrite the purchase. It is the long-term intention that the Parish Council will acquire the field from the Trust.

For those who would like further information and /or would like to donate towards the purchase of the field, please email [email protected]

Donation forms are also available at Plaistow Village Stores. The deadline for donations has been extended to 12 September 2025.
