Black Mount Community Development Trust Working to support community activity in Black Mount, South Lanarkshire. Charity no. SC054219.

Our main purpose is community development within Black Mount, we will do this through:

> Surveying our community to establish and maintain a list of priorities for the Black Mount community;

> Supporting local groups to develop and deliver project activities meeting identified priorities;

> Building capacity in Black Mount for community development activities;

> Working in partnership with organisations who have common interest in community development activities within Black Mount.

Black Mount Community Fun Day is HERE - doors open 1-6pm at Black Mount School, Elsrickle.

Come hungry, come ready to play, and bring some pocket money to shop and support the incredible community organisations joining us today.

🚌 FREE LIFTS TO THE FUN DAY - TOMORROW!

We've hired the Newlands Centre minibus to offer pick-ups and drop-offs to and from the Community Fun Day at set times tomorrow (Saturday 25 April, 1-6pm).

We're making it easy for everyone to join in - whether you don't drive, want to skip the parking hassle, or just fancy the greener option! Small donations towards costs are very welcome.

Our amazing local groups will be fundraising on the day - enter the raffle to win a stunning ceramic Raku sculpture by Ellen McCann, pick up second hand books for Black Mount School, grab seedlings from Biggar Community Market Garden, sponsor a duck in our May duck race 🦆, snap up a bargain on the uniform swap rail (Black Mount parents!), and of course treat yourself to the home baking raising funds for Black Mount Parent Council.

This Saturday at the Community Fun Day you can watch live Raku pottery firing with local artist Ellen McCann, catch live music from Denham Macdougall and Stuart Nelson, join a yoga taster with Jo from Strength and Soul, and catch a flamenco demo and taster from Tracy Hawkes of Coulter - in the community garden area and indoor hall.

Our first ever Spring Wreath-Making Workshop was everything we hoped for and more. The creativity in that room was just gorgeous, take a look at these incredible wreaths! 😍
