Hopefully A New Chapter for Woolsery Youth Club.

After many years of dedicated service, our leaders Sarah Heywood, Louise Leonard & Laura Henderson will be stepping down this July. They leave the club in a thriving position for the future.

A Legacy of Community
Woolsery Youth Club is a village institution with deep roots. Mr. Kent (now 103!), used to run the club, and then Jenny Bannister for a good many years, and many residents still fondly recall their time there. So we would love to see it continue.

Today, the club remains a vital space for our young people in the village, as they head off to different secondary schools, the club provides a consistent place to reconnect with friends and stay rooted in their home community.

We Need You!
We are looking for a new team of volunteers. The club is well-resourced, financially stable, and fortunate to have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities at Woolsery Hall.

The Commitment: Term-time only, every other week (approx. 19 sessions per year). But if there is a team of you, it allows you to share the load.

Provide the space for them to choose what they want to do, offer ad hoc activities as and when you want.

The Perks: Beyond supporting the kids, our volunteers find it's a great social support network for parents and adults too!

Highlights are for youth Club, Year 6 intake fun night (not taking place this Summer - but no reason why an autumn one cannot happen) Christmas Trip and Summer Trip.

Support: Rev Jane Skinner offers her support to the club and pops in from time to time (tug o war, Crafting, music, or chats with the young people and adults. We are covered under the Church Insurance, and we are DBS and do our safeguarding (Online) with the Church. We have a safeguarding officer Faith Butler.

We also have excellent outreach support from Chris from Space Youth Services and VOYC Devon
