What a truly wonderful day and evening at Bloomsburys Biddenden in support of Biddenden Library
TEA Jazz and conversation to celebrate the Solstice in style in collaboration with Bloomsburys Biddenden in support of Biddenden Library . Thanks to Alice Vincent and Samantha Baines for the chat, to The Honey Badgers for the Jazz and Lynn Armstrong Clarke, Susan Greenhalgh , Ro Dunbar for a well run, very hot kichen. Caroline Swain for tirelessly, efficiently, running the all day bar -assisted by 'he's everywhere man' Richard Ewence. Joanna McQueen for this delightful video and other photos. Our bakers Jenny Collins Gill Burtenshaw, Lynn Armstrong-Clarke, Sue Greenhalgh and Claudia Colwell.Thanks to Mandy Meme and Ann on selling books and merch. Last but not least The 4 young, gorgeous women, Uma, Chanel, Mila and Rosa who served tea with grace and good humour on the hottest of days.

Hark.To stop and listen attentively and joyfully in an almost meditative way is a verb which has almost disappeared from our lives. It's the title of Alice's book. Both Sam and Alice have both re-found this and write/speak about it. They're best selling authors and excellent story-tellers. They communicate listening experience with clarity and empathy.
In a joyful 30/40 minutes they will follow a musical introduction from the Honey Badgers jazz band. After the talk a sumptious vintage tea will be served accompanied by more sounds from the Honey Badgers. It promises to be a luscious celebratory afternoon.

In enthusiastic collaboration with Biddenden Flair, on the 20th June from 2pm-5pm Bloomsburys will host an unforgettable event with high tea and jazz alongside an engaging conversation between Samantha Baines, actress, presenter and comedienne, and Alice Vincent, best-selling author and former music journalist.

From 6:30pm there will be acoustic sets from the magnificent Billie Marten with Flyte, Yoshika and other very special guests.
