Homes for Ukraine Rother Rother Voluntary Action Homes for Ukraine in Rye District Marking the 4th Anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, thank you to everyone who joined with us to pay respect, sharing the sadness and joy standing together 🇺🇦💙💛🇬🇧

This Saturday marks the fourth anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The event which will take place on Saturday 28 February at the Bexhill Memorial to commemorate the start of the invasion and to remember the fallen. The Ukrainian community is invited to participate in this event and please wear your national dress if you wish.

The Bexhill deputy mayor, local MP and some councillors will be attending and supporting the event in addition to British military veterans from Bexhill and Hastings with their standards.

The format will be:
- Opening words by Christina Mashchenska
- Words on behalf of veterans by retired Lieutenant Colonel Peter Swanson
- Prayers by Father Robert Coates
- Exhortation to remember the fallen
- Last Post
- Silence
- Ukrainian Reveille
- Laying of wreathes and flowers by those who wish to do so
- Final prayers
- Concluding words by Susan Gedge RVA Homes for Ukraine Rother
- Ukrainian National Anthem

Many congratulations to our colleague Naomi who took part in NAVCA's first Allyship programme to become an EEDI champion.

The programme builds a community of champions to promote and advocate for individuals or groups who are marginalised, underrepresented or facing discrimination.
