CFAVs – We Need You on the Water! 🚣‍♀️2- 7 August, Capel Curig
CCAT have places available on the Open Canoe Foundation and Inland Kayak Foundation courses… but here’s the key point:
👉 Without CFAVs attending, these courses can’t run — and our cadets miss out.
Your support is essential. By getting involved, you’re not only helping make these experiences possible, but you’ll also:
✅ Spend a rewarding week on the water
✅ Learn and develop new paddling skills
✅ Support and encourage cadets in a fantastic outdoor environment

Huge Congratulations to Our Amazing Cadets & CFAVs 🔥
What an incredible half term it’s been! A massive well done to all the students who took on the challenge and smashed their foundation courses in Rock Skills, Mountain Skills, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, and Mountain Biking at Capel Curig Training Camp.
Your determination, teamwork, and enthusiasm have really paid off – this is a fantastic achievement and something you should all be very proud of! 💪🌟

Welfare Staff Needed – C3 Course (Capel Curig, 12–17 July)
Are you reliable, approachable, and enjoy supporting young people? We are looking for dedicated Welfare Staff to support the upcoming C3 Course at Capel Curig (12–17 July).
🛟 Your Role
As part of the welfare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing of cadets outside of training hours. Responsibilities include:

Supervising cadets during evenings
Ensuring cadets settle down and are ready for bed
Waking cadets in the mornings
Acting as the first point of contact for any out-of-hours concerns

Cadets and CFAVs have been enjoying their first full day in Norway, with groups taking on water sports, walking & navigation, as well as mountain biking!

CCAT are looking to support two events for Clwyd & Gwynedd ACF based at Capel Curig Training Camp. We are looking for CFAV instructors who hold either paddlesport, climbing wall or mountain bike qualifications for the following dates.

Saturday 6th of June
2x Paddlesport instructors
2x Climbing wall instructors

Saturday 20th June
1x MTB L2 instructor
2x Paddlesport instructors
2x Climbing wall instructors
