It’s Volunteers’ Week! 🙌
Today, we want to give a huge shout-out to our incredible volunteers — especially the amazing team at Ogwen Mountain Rescue.
Behind every callout are countless hours, missed plans, and personal sacrifices. What many people don’t realise is that this isn’t a paid or full-time job. Our team members are ordinary people with day jobs in hospitals, forestry, retail, and many other professions — yet whenever someone needs help, they’re there.
This video features one of our team members, Alex. By day, he works full-time at , repairing and caring for outdoor gear. One minute he’s helping keep your kit adventure-ready; the next, he’s out on the mountain helping someone in need.
The dedication, commitment, and selflessness shown by every member of the team is nothing short of incredible.
To all our volunteers: thank you. For the late nights, the missed plans, the hard work, and the unwavering commitment to helping others.
You’re the heart of this team, and we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️🚑⛰️

Heddiw da ni eisiau rhoi bloedd i’n gwirfoddolwyr anhygoel, yn enwedig Tîm Achub Mynydd Ogwen.
Tu ôl pob galwad mae nifer o oriau yn cael ei wario, cynlluniau yn cael eu methu a cholli allan ar fywyd personol. Does llawer ddim yn deall nad yw hyn yn swydd gyflogedig. Mae aelodau ein tîm yn bobl sydd a gwaith mewn ysbytai, coedwigaeth, siopau a llawer mwy, ond os oes unrhyw un mewn trafferth, mi fyddwn nhw yno.
Mae’r fideo yma yn dangos un o’n aelodau, Alex. Dydd i ddydd, mae o’n gweithio llawn amser yn Alpkit yn trwsho offer awyr agored. Un munud mae o’n cynnal a chadw eich cit a’r munud nesa’ mae o allan ar y mynydd yn cynorthwyo rhywun sydd angen help llaw.
Mae’r ymrwymiad ac ymroddiad sy’n cael ei arddangos gan bob aelod o’r tîm yn anhygoel.
