Cross stitching again at this week's crafternoon. Some of us carried on with our projects from last week, while some started a new one.

We have cross stitch and decoupage next week, plus Erika from Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust is stopping by to talk about the breast screening service, the importance of self-checking for changes to your breasts and what to do if you find something.

Crafternoon is a weekly free craft session hosted by Rural Us and North Northumberland Voluntary Forum. It's on every Wednesday between 1.00pm and 3.00pm at Berwick Voluntary Centre, 5 Tweed Street. There is no need to book, just pop in, the kettle is always on.

I popped into the Beadnell Women's Institute coffee morning this morning and had a coffee and a homemade scone.

It's certainly a popular event in the village and it was great to see everyone there and hear about all the things going on in your community, thank you for making me feel welcome and chatting to me. Hope to see you again at the July singalong film showing :).

💜 Carers Week Giveaway – A Little Time for You 💜

As part of Carers Week, we’re not only running a series of wellbeing events throughout the week, but we’re also delighted to offer our parent carers the chance to receive a dreamy Alchemist’s holistic facial ritual from The Skin Alchemist✨

At Northumberland Parent Carer Forum we recognise the incredible dedication, strength and support that parent carers provide to children and young people across Northumberland every single day.

This is our way of saying thank you and encouraging you to take some well-deserved time for yourself!

To enter the draw, simply:
💜 Drop an emoji in the comments, or
💜 Tag a fellow parent carer who you think deserves some relaxation time 💆🏻‍♀️

You can nominate yourself or someone else!

Good luck, and thank you for everything you do for our families and communities 🙌🏼

We had a really enjoyable and mindful crafternoon this week, stitching bookmarks. Cross stitch is something that some of used to do years ago, but for many of us it was a chance to try something new. We didn't make quite as much progress as we thought so we'll be continuing with them next week.

Crafternoon is a free craft group held every Wednesday 1.00pm-3.00pm at Berwick Voluntary Centre, 5 Tweed Street. Everyone is welcome, there is no need to book, just turn up at 1.00 and we'll have the kettle on.

Yesterday we were visited by the Special Treat Fairy (she's similar to the Easter Bunny but she works all year round). Anyway, the Special Treat Fairy very kindly left a big bag of chocolate goodies in reception :).

Please could you let us know who you are so we can say a big thank you (and also check they are for us and not any of the other groups that run out of 5 Tweed Street!!!).

Thank you x
