SEGRO and I were out and about today visiting five activities all over Slough in preparation for their annual SEGRO Day of Giving which is set for Friday 24 June.

Lots of variety and beneficiary groups and lots of planning to provide their teams with the tasks involved for each and plenty of sign up time to give back to the local community.

SBCP joined SEGRO at their networking breakfast last week. An opportunity to meet other businesses and check in on what’s happening locally. Thank you SEGRO.

‘Let’s Connect’
Mental Health Awareness Week

It’s not the years in your life, it’s the life in your years. Invest in the latter. Break the science over the mental health emergency.

Lots to discover and educate ourselves to support our own and others mental health.

Recommended books: ‘why has no one told me this before? By Dr Julie Smith.

‘This book could save your life’ by Ben West.

Huge thanks to for the fantastic installation of steps at Jubilee Riverside Centre.

Delayed due to the pandemic -the D&B team spent a week at Jubilee last week installing the steps which will allow Jamie and the team to welcome a wider community to the centre with far improved access and scope for the future.

Thank you so much.

It has the look of an amphitheatre so not only improved access but a great spot to watch the river activities and wildlife.

SBCP’s volunteer groups supporting Jamie with pontoon work and other tasks there soon.

Happy Earth Day 💚

Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations.

‘Invest in our Planet’ is this years theme.

What are you going to do today / make a change / break habits:

Abandon fast fashion

Stop plastic pollution

Litter pick and support the great global clean up whilst improving our wildlife habitats

Recycle and Upcycle wherever possible

Jump on your bike or walk to run errands. Ditch the car.

Every little we all do really adds up.

Delighted to see that our friends at Dyer & Butler have begun work at Jubilee Riverside Centre to install new access steps allowing a much improved Riverside access.

Work should be complete next week after a Covid related delay in this long awaited and much needed project - benefiting those with disabilities and opening the river opportunities to all.

Exciting times!..
