Could you spare a little time to help keep Scouting in Sharpness going?

Sharpness Scout Group is looking for volunteers to help support local young people and ensure that Scouting can continue to thrive in our community.

At the moment, a small number of dedicated volunteers are working incredibly hard to keep things running, but we need more people to get involved. You don't need any previous Scouting experience and you don't need to commit every week. Whether you can help occasionally, assist with activities, support administration, join the Trustee Board, help with fundraising, or are interested in becoming a leader, we'd love to hear from you.

Scouting gives young people opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends and enjoy adventures they may never otherwise experience. With a little extra support from the community, we can continue to provide these opportunities for local children and young people.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to all participants in the Free Fun Run. You are too many to name but we all had such a good day and with donations and after costs we netted approximately £460 which will help with maintenance to our community hall.

We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did and we look forward to the next one!

Today’s the day !!

🏃‍♂️ FUN RUN UPDATE 🏃‍♀️

Here’s the itinerary for Sunday 17th May

• 9:15am – Race competitors arrive for registration
• 10:00am – Adult and children’s races start
• 11:00am – Bouncy castles open
• 12:00pm – BBQ fires up
• 12:30pm onwards – Sports day-style games throughout the afternoon

There will also be music and a bar running during the event 🍔🎶🍻

⚠️ Please note: runners will be on the roads on Sunday morning around the Sharpness, Purton, Halmore and Wanswell areas. Please take extra care if driving lo
