Welcome to Benfleet u3a page. Our group is open to everyone over 50 who is no longer working Full Time.

We have over 300 members and more than 30 interest and activity groups. Members share their skills, and life experiences. Our group activities cover everything from Gardening and Papercraft to Women in History and Walking 5+miles. It is a self-help organisation where people learn together not for qualifications but for learnings own reward and fun. U3a is a national Organisation and Benfleet is o

ne of more 6oo groups in the country. In addition we offer Interesting speakers at our monthly meetings, together with zoom speaker talks, Our coach trips offer a range of interesting days out and other social activities include coffee mornings, dances and quizzes. Had a wonderful week with my youngest daughter in the North. Highlights included a trip to the Farne Islands to see amazing sea birds. The a 3 day trip to Bishop Auckland taking in the Bishops Palace, Zurbaran 's amazing paintings, and the magnificent pageant of Kynren.This covered 2000 years of British History and included a cast of 1000 volunteers plus expert sword fighters and horse riders. Memorable. Added benefit of being much cooler!
