Hi, I’m a local mum and writer.
I want to write about people in Belper. Ordinary people who are actually anything but ordinary. The ones we walk past every day without knowing the whole world they carry inside them. The window cleaner who’s seen the town from every angle, the shop worker who knows everyone’s routines, the neighbour who’s lived through things you’d never guess.
I’m hoping to speak with people who’d be happy to share a little piece of their life with me, big moments, small moments, turning points, quiet memories, anything that feels meaningful. You can stay completely anonymous, or use your name. We can chat in person, over Zoom, on the phone, or even by email if that feels easier. Photos are lovely but never required.
I just want to listen, and write, and celebrate the people who make this town what it is.
