Last week, two of our Advocates Marianne and Adrianna and our Administration Assistant India completed ASIST: Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training.

The two-day workshop provides participants with practical skills and knowledge to effectively recognise those who may be at risk of su***de and conduct a su***de intervention.

A huge thank you to the Extern SAFE Project and Crisis Intervention Team who facilitated the day and their fabulous trainers.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in the ASIST training, delivered by the Extern SAFE Project and Crisis Intervention Team.

25 people are now better equipped with vital skills to support others in times of crisis, an incredible achievement by all involved. 👏

Out of The Night into the Light 2026! 🌞

Last Saturday, our wonderful Chair of the Board and CEO, along with an incredible team of volunteers, braved our Out of the Night, into the Light fundraiser — a night-time hike up Slieve Donard to greet the sunrise and raise much‑needed funds for our services.

We’re excited to share some of their highlights and to say a massive thank you for their amazing effort and dedication.

We’re also delighted to announce that the event has raised just over £1,200 so far! Thank you to everyone who has donated — your support means so much.

If you haven’t had a chance to contribute yet, it’s not too late. You can still donate through our JustGiving page using the link below.

💙 Help Us Reach £1,000 for our Out of the Night into the Light Fundraiser 💙

We’re on a mission to raise £1,000. Your donation will help Adopt NI services empower hundreds of adults every year with a lived experience of adoption or care in Northern Ireland, including adopted or care experience adults, their birth parents, connected relatives and adoptive families.

£10 can cover the travel costs of a peer volunteer offering vital support.

£40 will facilitate a group support session where individuals can come together to share their experience and feel connected, supported and heard.

£60 can provide a counselling session for an adult affected by adoption or care.
