Yesterday we had the amazing opportunity to attend the ‘Women of Queen’s - Strength in Action: Educate, Support, Inspire’ event which is held in celebration of International Women’s Day! 🩷

The event reflected on key issues impacting women in Northern Ireland and the contributions of Queen’s women across various fields. 👩🏼‍⚕️👩🏼‍⚖️👩🏼‍💻👩🏼‍🔬

We had a great time listening to panels of amazing women - one of which our chairperson partook in to discuss the reason why WTG started, and the impact it has made. 🤍✨

🌟 JOIN OUR COMMITTEE FOR 2026/27 🌟

This year, the Walkie Talkie Girlies Society is coinciding its 2026/7 committee elections with the overall SU Elections. Online voting will be open from 10am on Monday 2 March until 5pm on Thursday 5 March.

This means you can now nominate yourself for election!
The Society is seeking candidates for a number of committee positions, who will be in post from 1 August 2026 - 31 July 2027.

This is your opportunity to stand for election and get more involved in the Society.

To nominate yourself, just go to the Society webpage and click on the Elections tab. You’ll be able to look over all the posts being elected and submit your name to stand for election. The deadline to nominate yourself is 4pm, Friday 27 February.

If you have any issues nominating yourself, please email us ASAP, including your student number. Make sure you have logged in to the SU site using the black Student Login button here. Don’t try to use the Guest / Staff login boxes - they won’t recognise your details.

We had the best time yesterday on our galentines walk which was in collab with 🫶🏼

It was such a fun walk with cute cookie decorating at the end! 🍪🩷
