It was wonderful to welcome to meet with our Newry and South Armagh cluster of schools today to discuss issues of substance misuse and health-based rights in Northern Ireland, finishing off our Citizens Bow Project for 2026! The students have been working hard over the last few months to develop their ideas and will present these to a range of MLAs in Stormont in the coming weeks😊

We had a wonderful time at today as part of our work with and on Participatory Budgeting. Talking about all things democracy! Such fun engaging students with amazing questions.

We had Eóin Tennyson from the Alliance Party in to speak yesterday with our students from and cluster. The students were asking insightful questions on the topics they have chosen to research, including debates around Votes at 16, the rise of the far right, mental health and the use of deepfakes online. This discussion will help inform their research and report they will present to MLAs in the coming weeks. Well done on an intriguing conversation everyone! 👏

Yesterday we had our very first PiA facilitated Climate Fresk by two of our young people in our Environment Campaign! 🌍 As part of our vision to empower young people, Dany and Taisija are now fully trained facilitators. The session was thought provoking, inspiring and we couldn’t be more proud of these two.

We had a brilliant first session with and in Newry yesterday! The discussions were thought provoking, with the young people discussing local issues such as pot-holes in rural areas, votes at 16, as well as the rise of the far right and the use of deepfakes online. Looking forward to our next session! 👏👏👏

We are delighted to be working with several new schools this year. Last week we had a powerful workshop in with students from and - amazing discussions on a wide range of issues and a decision to focus on Violence Against Women and Girls.
