On August 12, 2026, Belfast will experience a deep partial solar eclipse reaching roughly 93% coverage at its maximum. The partial eclipse begins at 18:10 BST, peaks with maximum coverage at 19:08 BST, and ends at 20:02 BST, with the Sun positioned about 15° above the west-northwest horizon

Belfast will see around 93.1% of the Sun covered at maximum eclipse, making it one of the deepest eclipses visible from the city in decades

Festival of the River (Féile na hAbhann)
