Reducing environmental impact is in our very nature. 🌱🐝

There’s a myth that wind farms harm wildlife and natural habitats. But when they’re managed responsibly, the opposite is true.

Through the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, wind farms across NI are creating safe, pollinator-friendly spaces that support bees, butterflies, and biodiversity.

Wind farms can bee part of the change- helping nature recover while helping Northern Ireland reach its clean energy goals. 🍃

Let’s clear the air on another common myth. 💨

“Community Benefit Funds are just bribery.” Not true, and the facts prove it.

In Northern Ireland, planners do not consider community benefit funds as a material consideration when examining planning applications for renewable energy projects.

However, developers often provide packages voluntarily, and across Northern Ireland, renewable energy projects contribute £2.6 million every year to local groups, services and initiatives through transparent, independently managed Community Benefit Funds (KMPG 2024 Impact Report).

These funds support real people and real needs- from community halls to sports clubs, mental health projects, education programmes and more.

Wind turbines don’t just power our homes; they are empowering our communities.

Creating stronger communities and cleaner energy.♻️💪
