BPS is delighted to have secured victory over seven other local camera clubs in the 2026 Croydon Centenary Club. Judge Andy Smith awarded our images 72.5 putting us ahead of Old Coulsdon Camera Club and Tandridge Photographic Society in 2nd and 3rd place. Top scorers on 10 were Bill Gray and Angela Ford. Beckenham members were treated to a fascinating approach to brutalist architecture at last Wednesday's meeting. Christopher Hope-Fitch presented his project Brutalism in Colour and explained how he achieves such stunning results. Can't wait to give it a try. See some of his images below.

Our 25/26 season is now well underway and we've already had some great evenings. Our first presentation by an external speaker was from Phil Kirk. Phil amazed us with the fabulous images he has taken of wildlife in his garden. And it was fascinating to hear how has encouraged birds, bugs and animals to pose for him. See some of his great work below. Next Wednesday we are looking forward to a zoom meeting with acclaimed landscape photo Tony Worobiec. Do come and join us.

Congratulations to David Rees and Keith Surey whose images are on the start of a national tour organised by the Royal Photographic Society's Landscape group. You can see their images on the railings outside Southwark Cathedral until June 8th. David was captured after his hard work helping to hang the photographs.

We are delighted to announce that a BPS mini exhibition is now on display at the Deli Cafe adjacent to the Chinese Roundabout in Beckenham. Many thanks to the cafe for letting us share members' images in such lovely surroundings. What a great way to enjoy art: over a coffee and cake. The exhibition is on show until April 22nd.
