Evening folks,
Posting this in the hope the author of the message on our notice board may see this.
Neither of the gates down from the Victorian Bridge are padlocked, nor have they ever been.

Some of our vehicle gates are padlocked and the pedestrian ones will only ever be locked if there are on-going harvesting operations and the area may pose a risk to safety.

The forest is there for everyone to enjoy and we don’t want to restrict anyone’s access!

On a final note, there is no need to be posting foul language on the notice board in reference to the map.
The forest thrives because of a group of hard-working and dedicated volunteers who put much of their own time into these maps.

If anyone does ever have any suggestions please (politely) direct them to:
[email protected]

Thanks!

Protection of equipment. All our equipment is now datatagged which makes it much less attractive to thieves. Thanks to our volunteers who have done all the tagging. This includes id labels which are almost impossible to remove and microdots which can be read by Police.

🌲 SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS 🌲
Come and join us at the forest for a day of volunteer work this Saturday the 25th of April. We plan to tackle the dense areas of Broom on our replanted site above the Aigas Loch.

If you plan to come along it would be helpful to let us know for numbers by emailing [email protected]
We will aim to meet at the forest for 9:30am.
(If you can’t make this time it would still like to come that’s not a problem, but please drop me an email to let me know).
Please bring warm clothing along with water proofs and some lunch.
If you have any tools such as loppers or had saws (hand tools only) please bring them along.

Look forward to welcoming you all there.
Thanks
