Sundays, looking pleasant with temps around 12 celsius which is very comfortable given it's February.
Light rain thru the early hours so we will wake up to wet roads and some light rain.
Then it clears up.
Small possibility of some light rain around early afternoon. Probably will be so quick , that most will not even notice. Overall a cloudy dry day.
And hopefully the sun will show it's face around sunset. So it could be a great sunset with the cloud cover present.
Highlight of this week is, Wednesday. It's looking spectacular with 13 celsius and clear skies and sun.

A very pleasant weekend, weather wise. Thursday does bring some rain.
Friday has some Southerly winds around 15 mph, some cloud, some sun, some grey clouds, later, a mixed bag with temps around 8 celsius. Very pleasant.
Saturday some lighter southerly winds, light rain in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. Very pleasant.
Sunday, the easterly winds arrive, my favourite winds, lovely and fresh for those beach walks, slightly colder with 6 celsius, cloudy with the sun peeping through. Very pleasant.
Next week brings more lovely easterly winds, early on in week.
Overall, you guessed it ;-)

A very pleasant week is ahead of us.
Monday bring a brisk SSW winds of 17 mph on average with gusts upto 28 mph. Great temps, hovering around 10 celsius. Some light rain is possible with grey clouds.
Tuesday has a little more rain in the afternoon with similar conditions to Monday.
Wednesday a little colder with daytime temps of 7 celsius. A wind fluctuating between south west and west with lighter winds. Overall a little cloudy with a chance of seeing some sun.
And the rest of the week follows a similar pattern.
A very pleasant week indeed.
Enjoy the very mild weather for this time of the year.

Friday's not looking good. Rain, Rain and more Rain. On a plus side some lovely easterly winds, a solid 28 mph ENE. It's gonna be miserable.
There is abundance of rain circulating in Europe and eventually onto the UK. Huge amounts of rain will be dropping in parts of Spain and Portugal, flooding is definitely going to be making the news. Will little Lowestoft escape the deluge which is pushing thru into next week. Monday not looking great either .
My advice, get on a plane and take a quick holiday, just choose your destination carefully other wise you could end up in a wetter place than the one you left.

Friday is bringing Lowestoft a blustery day of fairly high southerly winds averaging 30ish mph with good temps of 14 celsius throughout the day. Some rain is forecast from about midday till 14:00 and a little later. Not so much rain to be a problem and everything should improve in time for the Claremont Pier firework displays.
Saturday brings some high winds again and rain but most of the rain will happen in the hours of darkness, at night 02:00 onwards.
During the day southerly winds turn south west, lighter than Friday winds but still 25 mph.
Sunday the winds go west, lighter again, a little cooler with temps hovering around 10 celsius. And the sun shows its face from midday onwards, so sunday afternoon is going to be a perfect time for a beach walk.
Have a great weekend and Happy Halloween.

Looking ahead for the weekend.
It's going to be a pleasant surprise. With most of the Storm passing by Lowestoft. We again, made a great escape from the worst of the bad weather that the rest of the UK experienced. But, that's always the way with Lowestoft.
Saturday starts with some rain, heavier in the early hours and dissipates real quick, and probably wont affect the majority of us by time we get up. With West North West brisk winds averaging 20 mph. You will notice the average temperature has dropped and now we rely on some winter sun to improve daytime temps still only around 9 celsius with a colder night at 5 celsius.
Overall Saturday should be a very pleasant October day.

Sunday very similar, but with stronger winds possibly gusting up to 25 mph. A possibility of some rain in the late afternoon. That low pressure moved away very quickly and sadly Lowestoft missed the big Northerly winds which I always love. However they do cause flooding so most will be happy, they did not appear for so long.

Sea swell is looking great and some good surf around and with the offshore winds. It may give us some classic conditions. The wind does need to drop as too strong at the moment but keep chasing and we may witness some east coast perfection.
Great weekend for beach walks, hot flasks and sandwiches. A classic autumn weekend.
Enjoy all.

A lot of fuss being made about Thursdays weather. I'm not seeing it as any big drama, Not as strong as the previous Storm Amy. I think the aftermath could be more exciting as this low pressure system tracks low across the north sea, it really has to stay in the North sea, but presently it looks like it will track low over Scandinavia, so no ability to spin up. It does'nt seam to be a real strong low pressure system if anything it looks a little distorted with strong cross flows and not so cyclonic in nature.
With strong westerly winds in the next few days.
Westerlies are generally not so exciting for the east coast. Flood warnings have been issued, but generally don't amount to so much with the westerly winds pushing most of the water back to the north sea.
I think this weather front has been over hyped. I see gusty winds possible reaching a peak of 50 mph but nothing extraordinary.
I think little Lowestoft can handle this one.

A mixed bag of weather this weekend. Saturday has some rain earlier on, upto around midday there is a good chance of some rain with grey clouds above. After midday it will clear up with less grey clouds. Wind is from the South East, a very pleasant 16 mph.

Sunday is better in the morning with cloudy skies but no real rain, so get up early and make the most of it.
A fair amount of rain appearing after midday. Maybe, close to heavy rain. And this will continue well into darkness. The winds will also pick up with a strong southerly wind. Not a pleasant day to be down the beach.

Not the best weather this weekend, temps are around 13 celsius night and day. So consistent. I would mainly be concerned with finding something to do with that miserable sunday afternoon weather. Maybe a nice carvery down The Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad or something similar. Indoor entertainment for Sunday afternoon is a must.
Have a great weekend.

What a glorious Monday morning!
Starting off with light westerly winds being showcased by the lovely flags on Lowestoft beach. I do love a good flag and a wind sock. Probably the best day of the week. Clear skies and Sun. Slightly nervous of the high tides at the moment and the flooding. The westerly winds are keeping bigger tides at bay. However with the northerly winds coming later in the week, and I believe off the top of my head, a very high tide on Thursday. Fearful of the damage this may cause, on the plus side Storm Amy is moving away fast now.
However, something similar is brewing in the Atlantic right now, watching closely.
Have a great Monday, and remember, not all Mondays are bad ;-)

It's been a manic week in Lowestoft and I'm pretty sure most of you will be relieved that it's the weekend. You can sense the tension in the air, you can see it, in the faces of people driving past you. A unusual high amount of road traffic accidents. Stress and tensions in society are running high. Can it be related to the doom and gloom reports of a hurricane passing over Scotland, affecting all of the UK's weather or is it the seasonal change, the realization that a difficult winter could just be around the corner. High food and energy bills are most definitely causing stress in the household. Is it the war situation around the world, I feel something, a big event is imminent. Is it the religious and political situation in the UK.
Right now people are loosing their minds, I feel a sense of panic in society. Just "Stay calm and carry on".
And remember we've always got the weather ;-)
After a miserable Friday, your wondering will the weekend be any better.
Yes! there is improvement ahead.
Saturday brings South west to westerly strong winds with some 40 mph gusty conditions, not pleasant. Most of the heavy rain will be gone by the early morning, just leaving some small showers early afternoon. Sun and cloud throughout the day, with temps around 13 celsius. So reasonably pleasant for this time of year.
Sunday is a similar day of weather. winds will move slightly north east and I would imagine by the end of next week we will be looking at some nice Northerly winds.
Indeed next week is looking like a very pleasant week, the storm will pass and a sense of calm will return.
Will the manic vibe, the charged atmosphere depart. I think people are still in a changeable period and seasonal changes, take their toll on individuals. Those with cool heads will prevail.
So relax and don't stress the small things, be nice to people. And be careful on the roads, add extra time for your journeys. And beware of fallen branches across this weekend.

Have a great one, from Lowestoft Weather.

Sunday has a great start with a clear morning, cloudy but thankfully, no rain. Winds from the south west around 17 mph increasing in the late afternoon upto stormy conditions averaging 30 mph plus. Temps hovering around 17 celsius.
Late afternoon the rain arrives and continues most of the evening into darkness.
So the plan for this Sunday is get up early, make the most of the best weather and late afternoon return to your comfort zone.
Sporadic rain is forecast across the whole country so very unpredictable conditions and if you see those dark grey clouds its bringing rain.
