It's been a manic week in Lowestoft and I'm pretty sure most of you will be relieved that it's the weekend. You can sense the tension in the air, you can see it, in the faces of people driving past you. A unusual high amount of road traffic accidents. Stress and tensions in society are running high. Can it be related to the doom and gloom reports of a hurricane passing over Scotland, affecting all of the UK's weather or is it the seasonal change, the realization that a difficult winter could just be around the corner. High food and energy bills are most definitely causing stress in the household. Is it the war situation around the world, I feel something, a big event is imminent. Is it the religious and political situation in the UK.
Right now people are loosing their minds, I feel a sense of panic in society. Just "Stay calm and carry on".
And remember we've always got the weather ;-)
After a miserable Friday, your wondering will the weekend be any better.
Yes! there is improvement ahead.
Saturday brings South west to westerly strong winds with some 40 mph gusty conditions, not pleasant. Most of the heavy rain will be gone by the early morning, just leaving some small showers early afternoon. Sun and cloud throughout the day, with temps around 13 celsius. So reasonably pleasant for this time of year.
Sunday is a similar day of weather. winds will move slightly north east and I would imagine by the end of next week we will be looking at some nice Northerly winds.
Indeed next week is looking like a very pleasant week, the storm will pass and a sense of calm will return.
Will the manic vibe, the charged atmosphere depart. I think people are still in a changeable period and seasonal changes, take their toll on individuals. Those with cool heads will prevail.
So relax and don't stress the small things, be nice to people. And be careful on the roads, add extra time for your journeys. And beware of fallen branches across this weekend.
Have a great one, from Lowestoft Weather.
