One of the documentaries "Farmers of Kherson" that will be screened at the event Ukraine: Within and Beyond was created by Caolan Robertson who is an Irish-born journalist and influencer. He has been reporting from Ukraine since 2022, and as of mid-November 2025 describes himself as a full-time journalist based in Ukraine.
After he heard the news about Oleskandr Hordiienko being murdered, he decided to head to the farmlands he lived in to make a film about his legacy. The Farmer was a local legend and the Russians killed him to make a point. To try and silence powerful voices like his in Ukraine. Most news coverage about Kherson focuses on the drone attacks against civilians in the city centre, so it felt really important to cover this in intimate detail. The farmers in this region have been through intense nightmares. First, the occupation, then the mining, then the drought and now FPVs.
Come and watch this film with us on 1st November 2026 at 3pm in Wiltshire Music Centre. Tickets are available here https://www.wiltshiremusic.org.uk/event/ukraine-within-and-beyond/
