🎭 Last call for Bath Carnival 2026 procession applications!

We're finalising the lineup for this year's procession this week. If you've been meaning to join us but haven't applied yet, now's the time!

We're still considering a *very small number* of last-minute additions, including dance groups, drummers, walking performances, puppets and floats.

If anything has changed since you applied - particularly your expected group size - please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

☀️ With just over a month to go until Bath Carnival 2026, on Saturday 11 July 2026, we're revisiting the aftermovie from last year's scorcher of an event!

Some of our favourite moments included:

🎭 The streets bursting with colour as the carnival procession rolled through Bath in glorious sunshine.

🚒 pitching up at Laura Place Fountain to cool performers down as they returned from the procession.

🎶 Incredible live performances in Sydney Gardens, including a mind-blowing headline set from our amazing friends

🐘 Batari the elephant spraying festival-goers down in the summer heat.

🕺 An unforgettable official after party at featuring a huge set from the talented Beavs and live show from Sambistas

We're counting down the days until we do it all again. Who's joining us this year? Sat 11 July 🌈

A very happy birthday to Bath Carnival artist Susie!

She was busy in a very hot studio last week, preparing crafts and costumes for this year's outreach programme.

As always, our Main Stage is a celebration of global music, culture and community - and this is only the beginning. Delighted to be a finalist at this year’s Bath Life Awards! ✨

As a community organisation, Bath Carnival is powered by our incredible volunteers and freelance artists, who help us break down barriers to the arts and bring international-quality cultural experiences into the heart of the city. Thank you to everyone who joined an event or workshop in 2025 🙏

A new highlight last year was being part of the Summer Lates at the transforming a world-renowned heritage site into a unique musical soundscape with vinyl DJs across six weekends.

The Carnival's outreach work also grew, with artists working alongside local schools, vulnerable adults, and community groups.

It’s a challenging time to be an arts organisation, so this recognition is a big boost as we head into 2026 - continuing to create opportunities for people to experience and take part in the arts. 💕
