🚨 Emergency Fundraiser for Bella 🚨

Today we have a bit of an emergency.

One of our beautiful hand-reared kittens, Bella, has taken a sudden turn for the worse over the last 48 hours. She has developed a reduced appetite, is very lethargic, no longer wants to play, and her breathing has become abnormal.

Bella was born with Flat-Chested Kitten Syndrome (FCKS). While many kittens improve as they grow, sadly we don’t feel Bella’s chest has corrected itself as we had hoped. She is now slightly crackly on her chest, and our vet is concerned that she urgently needs chest X-rays and an ultrasound to find out what is causing her deterioration.

Bella has been admitted to the vets this afternoon as an emergency.

Unfortunately, today’s investigations alone are expected to cost between £800 and £1,000. As a small rescue, this is an enormous and unexpected expense that we simply cannot cover on our own.

We’ve set up a fundraiser to help us pay for Bella’s emergency veterinary care and any ongoing treatment she may need. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference and will go directly towards giving Bella the best possible chance.

Little Whiskers Kitten Rescue, Bath UK

The cost of running rescue has increased dramatically over the past year, from veterinary treatment and medications to food, litter, milk replacer and essential supplies. Despite our best efforts, we are now at a point where I genuinely don’t know how much longer it will be possible to continue. It is really very sad.

🚨 URGENT APPEAL FOR GEORGE 🚨

Our beautiful little George is just 4 weeks old and very poorly. 💔

Over the past week, George has been suffering repeated episodes of hypoglycaemia (dangerously low blood sugar) despite being fed regularly and nearly fully weaned. During these crashes he becomes extremely distressed and begins severe head pressing, desperately pushing his head into anything he can find or flailing around trying to do so.

This behaviour in such a tiny kitten can indicate something much more serious underlying, including possible liver or neurological problems.

We are urgently trying to investigate what is happening to him and are hoping to proceed with blood tests and further veterinary assessments. Due to George’s tiny size, this may be more complicated and require additional support and medication. Current estimated costs are around £300–£400+.

We would be hugely grateful for any donations towards George’s care. Every penny will go directly towards giving this tiny boy the best possible chance.
