What a morning at Barry Island! 🌊☀️

A huge well done to everyone who joined us for 5K Your Way today.

Whether you ran, walked, jogged, took your time, came along with a friend, supported someone else or simply got yourself out of the door — you did it your way. 💙

Today wasn’t about pace or PBs.

It was about coming together for everyone affected by cancer. About finding a bit of movement, connection, laughter and support amongst what can sometimes be a pretty difficult journey.

And to everyone who volunteered, encouraged, cheered, tail-walked, welcomed, set up, packed away and made today happen — thank you. 🫶

You all make Barry Island 5K Your Way what it is.

No pressure. No judgement. No comparing yourself to anyone else.

Just you, your 5K and a whole lot of support around you. 🫶

💙 MORE THAN A CANCER DIAGNOSIS

Cancer can take up a lot of space.

Appointments. Scans. Treatment. Side effects. Waiting for results. More appointments.

But 5K Your Way gives us a reason to come together and remember that there is still life beyond the hospital.

A walk.
A run.
A chat.
A laugh.
A coffee afterwards.

Whatever your reason for being there, you belong.
