Changed in response to questions , Due to increased funding we have 2 part time roles available for Teen and young person support worker. In running our evaluated programmes and our teen group CREW CUBE.
Overview:
Are you experienced in supporting children and young people in a teaching or therapeutic role.
We are also looking for a part time children’s support worker , this role will be offer support through groups and activities.
Do you have experience of working with either support work with children, teaching , Mental Health, Domestic Abuse or therapy ? Would you like to further your career working in a restorative approaches support service ran by the community for the community of Barry. CUBE runs a whole family service all under one roof.
CUBE is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to support individuals and families who live in Barry.
A teen and young person support working will provide one to one support to proactively in moving forward.
This includes 1 to 1 support and participating in facilitating groups held at the Gallery. You will need to have experiences of restorative approaches and be able to work with individuals and families to repair relationships and move forward after harm.
Responsibilities:
your role will be to engage with individuals and families with the aim of participate with CUBE services and other key support agencies if needed. You may be needed to attend meetings as an advocate to support your client, such as Social Services or Probation meetings.
We will need to establish clear lines of communication and make referrals to agencies that may be helpful to individuals or families. E.g., Probation, Housing and Welfare Benefits. CUBE support is designed to be short-term assistance for the immediate transition between accessing support within CUBE and the community and if required to longer-term support including referring to other community organizations where appropriate.
We are an early intervention services which means most of our families or individuals access support either themselves via our booking system on our website and page or via Social Services or other professional referral process. You may in time carry out initial assessments either over the phone or in person.
Support meetings will take place in both public, office settings as well as our home at the Gallery, usually lasting around 1 hour, depending on the personal circumstances, and considering the Covid situation. Successful candidates will have training from CUBE which will include interviewing skills, as well as setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Supervision will be provided by our Clinical Supervisor, to ensure that you have support throughout your role. We offer 1 to 1 supervision, case supervision and clinical supervision within CUBE.

Building Trust, Instructing/Developing Capabilities, Inspiring
Providing Corrective Feedback, Managing Risks, Opening Doors, Restorative Approaches Training and Ethos, Experience of Working with Families affected by Domestic Abuse and Addictions.
Experience of working within the 3rd Sector, Youth Justice, Family Support Services desirable.
This role with grow into a full-time post with future funding.

Job Types: 20 hours part time or 35 hours full time.
Salary depending on qualifications and experience between £22k and £28k
