I can only apologise for not being as active on here recently - I feel we’ve added so many other aspects of our non profit, that I sometimes forget to engage with the one that started it all 💜

Something a little different tonight, but as some of you know, every year we organise a Giving Tree for children in the local area. We work alongside local primary schools and the Health Visitor team (occasionally other local referrals too)

The “Oor Rita” tree will be back up in the Arc this year for anyone thinking about donating gifts to children and young people within East Ren

I can’t stress enough how important this appeal is, and a reminder that the presents go to local children - very possibly a neighbour or friend.

We don’t have a minimum spend on the gifts as we want everyone to be able to donate. Tags should be available around Mid November, and gifts should be returned anytime before 18th December

Happy Mothers Day to you all💜

I’m sorry it took so long to post today - it’s been a weird one for me. The day itself has been lovely, I’m obviously extremely blessed to have my own son, as well as my stepson - and thankfully I have a great relationship with my own mum. So the day is good.

But I’ve been re-reading my blog recently (will give more information soon) and I’m only around half way through (first IVF transfer failed, and I’m reading through my feelings around that time)

I know how difficult today can be for some people, and I don’t always feel like I still have the right to talk about it, as I have my son now.

But all the feelings of loss are still there, they’re just buried a lot deeper these days.

Anyway, I hope everyone has managed to make today special in some way or another 💜 Thinking of you all

I received a message today from an old friend - a young woman I’d met on IG around 6 years ago. I hadn’t heard from her in well over a year and I don’t have my instagram anymore.

We met through my baby loss page and were a great support for each other, even though we weren’t close location wise. She sadly went through another loss during our friendship and I sent her this little lemur (her favourite animal). I got this picture today after he had been to the Zoo with her. He’s still with her most days.

It made me really emotional, just knowing how much a tiny gesture meant to her at a difficult time.

So many people ask me how to support people going through a loss, and you’ll never really know what is right for each person, but knowing that someone is thinking of you is the most meaningful and special gift you can give. And if that happens to be in the form of a cute little lemur, then maybe just buy the little guy 💜

We’ve just finished these beautiful pieces to be given to two ladies and their partners after they sadly lost their babies in the first trimester. We used their pregnancy test caps as a way of honouring the short, but special time they had with their babies.

These were provided completely free of charge

Special thanks to Shanks Bowling Club as they raised some money for us last year and this has helped us continue to provide this service 💜

Apologies we haven’t updated in a while, we’ve been extremely busy with our other projects as well as continuing our work here.

We’ve been working on four memorial pieces this week, and we’ll upload them as soon as they go to their new homes. All four of these were made with pregnancy test caps, after the two couples lost their babies in the first trimester.

We know that a lot of people who experience loss think they aren’t able to get a keepsake or an item of jewellery as their loss was early, but we strive to find a way to honour your baby no matter what. 💜

Huge thank you to Shanks Bowling Club and all its members for having us at their charity day yesterday! Special thank you to Jade and Iain who put us forward. The whole NellyBoxes team are so appreciative of all their hard work in putting together such a wonderful day.

They raised a great amount of money for us, enabling us to continue offering our services for free to everyone who needs our support throughout all of our initiatives

Thank you to everyone involved, including the club, its members, visitors, those who donated prizes, those who bought raffle tickets and everyone that came along and supported on the day.

Thank you to Gordon Powrie and The Royal Engineers Veterans for their wonderful donation of £100!
