North Devon Against Domestic Abuse - NDADA and Encompass Southwest are working together to transform this building into a vibrant, welcoming Women's Centre - and we need your help to make it happen.

We're calling on local tradespeople who can donate time, skills, or materials to support the renovation. Whether you're a builder, plumber, electrician, decorator, or general handyman — your contribution could make a lasting difference in the lives of women in our community.

Gerry Duffy, the Bridge Trust's Business Manager, was delighted to be part of the Culture & Heritage segment of the Connecting Barnstaple event in the Pannier Market last Saturday.

A big thank you to Barnstaple Town Council and One Barnstaple for hosting the event and to Holly Bransby and her team at the Barnstaple Pannier Market, run by North Devon Council.

A host of organisations and individuals shared their enthusiasm for the plans for Bridge Hall as a performing arts venue with availability for meetings. It was great to learn more about Barnstaple's history from Lucy Scarrott, the Town Council's Heritage & Cultural Manager and to make contact with other organisations at the event such as the National Trust at Arlington Court, The Pickwell Foundation (learning about their work with Ukrainian refugees), the North Devon Records Office, The Plough@St Anne's Arts & Community Centre and the new team at Fringe TheatreFest.
