⭐️ The Making of Mothers - Always a Mum ⭐️

Daphne & Friends is proud to be collaborating with artist and curator Laura Villares House as part of The Making of Mothers exhibition at The Garage Gallery, Walthamstow.

This September, we will be bringing together six bereaved mothers for a gentle artistic workshop exploring motherhood, memory and the babies we carry with us.

Together, we will create individual pieces of art inspired by our babies’ names, nicknames or significant dates. The artwork will become part of The Making of Mothers exhibition before being displayed again during Baby Loss Awareness Week, and afterwards will be yours to take home and keep.

No artistic experience is needed. Come exactly as you are.

📅 Friday 18 September
🕥 10:30am - 12pm
📍 The Garage Gallery, Walthamstow
🎟️ Free | Just 6 places
⭐️ For mothers bereaved by pregnancy, baby or child loss

The workshop takes place within the gallery during the exhibition, so there may be visitors in the space while we are creating.

Space is limited for this intimate event - places are limited to six bereaved mothers.

Come and walk the Wetlands with us ☀️

This Sunday we will be taking a gentle and sunny walk around the Walthamstow Wetlands; followed by a coffee in the cafe. ☕️

Our peer support walks are a great way to meet other families who are on their own bereavement journey and just get it, while enjoying some fresh air and beautiful scenery. 🌳

Come as you are. Bring your grief, your love, your joy, your sadness. You are welcome here 🩷 🩵 💛

Let me know you will be joining at the link in bio ⭐️

May and June with Daphne & Friends 🌻

Our next few weeks are full of gentle spaces for bereaved families to come together - walks, community, fresh air, tea, books, family time, and people who understand.

Whether you are newly bereaved, many years on, parenting after loss, pregnant after loss, bringing siblings along, or just feeling like you could do with being around others who “get it” - you are so welcome here.

There is never any pressure to talk, explain, or arrive in a certain way. Come as you are. Stay for as long as feels right.

You do are not alone. 🦋

Tomorrow we’ll be meeting for our monthly As You Are Walk 🌿

A gentle walk around Hollow Ponds for bereaved parents and families - a chance to be outside, walk alongside others who understand, and have a little space to breathe.

There is no pressure to talk, share, or be anything other than exactly as you are.

Whether you’re having a heavy week, a quiet week, or you just feel like some fresh air with people who get it, you are very welcome to join us.

Details and meeting point above - link in bio to let me know you are coming.

You are welcome here 💛🩷🩵
