Barking and Dagenham Explorer Scouts

Yesterday we celebrated St George's Day with a day of activities, awards and promise renewals at Gilwell Park.

Our first big event since Barking & Dagenham and Newham Districts merged attended by 225 young people and supported by around 75 adults including a few from neighbouring Districts and the fantastic guys from Scout Radio

Hopefully the first of many events for our extended District family.

Wow! How fantastic to see one of our young people voted in as the Young Mayor of Barking and Dagenham.

Zubin joined 16th Barking & Dagenham Scout Group as a 6 year old and still still with the group as Young Leader while also being an Explorer in the Columbus-Bellahoj Explorer Unit.

Well done Zubin!
