NCREW Canolfan Genedlaethol Addysg Grefyddol Cymru / National Centre of Religious Education for Wales

Mae Canolfan Genedlaethol Addysg Grefyddol Cymru yn ganolfan fywiog sy’n ymroddedig i ddiogelu a hyrwyddo Crefydd, Gwerthoedd a Moeseg (CGM) ac Astudiaethau Crefyddol (AC) yn eu hystyron ehangaf: archwilio crefyddau, athroniaethau, moeseg, gwerthoedd a safbwyntiau byd-eang. Mewn cymdeithas amrywiol ei chredoau, diwylliannau a safbwyntiau, mae CGM ac AC yn fwy perthnasol nag erioed. Mae'r pynciau hyn yn cysylltu ag amryw bynciau gan gynnwys hanes, daearyddiaeth, gwleidyddiaeth, cymdeithaseg, gwyddoniaeth, Cymraeg a Saesneg. Wrth wraidd y Ganolfan y mae’r nod i feithrin addysg, annog parch at safbwyntiau a thraddodiadau gwahanol, a cheisio sicrhau cymdeithas gynhwysol lle mae pawb yn perthyn.

🦸‍♀️ Diwrnod Cenedlaethol Archarwyr 🦸‍♂️

Pe na bai gan archarwyr bwerau arbennig… beth fyddai’n eu gwneud nhw’n arwrol?

🗨️ Sefyll dros yr hyn sy’n iawn
💛 Dangos tosturi
⚖️ Gweithredu’n deg
🤝 Parchu eraill
🌍 Gofalu am y byd o’n cwmpas

O fewn Crefydd, Gwerthoedd a Moeseg (CGM), mae dysgwyr yn archwilio safbwyntiau crefyddol ac anghrefyddol sy’n codi cwestiynau mawr am werthoedd, dewisiadau, a beth mae’n ei olygu i fyw’n dda.

✨ Nid oes angen clogyn i fod yn arwr.
✨ Mae rhai’n gwneud dewisiadau moesol dewr bob dydd.

👇 Dywedwch wrthym yn y sylwadau - Beth yw’r pŵer gorau i’w gael mewn bywyd go iawn?.......
🦸‍♀️ National Superhero Day 🦸‍♂️

If superheroes didn’t have powers… what would make them heroic?

🗨️ Standing up for what’s right
💛 Showing compassion
⚖️ Acting with justice
🤝 Respecting others
🌍 Caring for the world around us

In Religion, Values and Ethics (RVE), learners explore religious and non‑religious worldviews that ask big questions about values, choices, and what it means to live well.

✨ Not all heroes wear capes.
✨ Some make brave, ethical choices every day.

👇 Tell us in the comments - what’s the best superpower to have in real life?

This Easter, the Philosophy, Ethics and Religion team at Bangor University delivered a series of free, live online revision lectures supporting AS and A2 Religious Studies students, and drew over 670 attendees from Wales, England and Ireland.

From religious language and arguments for God to theodicy and ethical theory, the sessions were designed to sharpen evaluation skills, strengthen arguments, and boost confidence ahead of summer exams.

And it doesn’t stop there — Welsh‑medium A‑Level RS revision sessions are coming later this month, delivered online in the evenings.

Many thanks to everyone who attended!

Beth os nad yw cyfiawnder yn ‘dod i ben’, ond yn parhau yn y ffordd rydym yn gwrando?

Mewn erthygl newydd, ‘Justice Beyond Resolution: Intergenerational Listening and Dialogical Justice in Peacebuilding’ yn rhifyn arbennig o’r Journal of Dialogue Studies, mae Dr Gareth Evans‑Jones, Darlithydd mewn Athroniaeth, Moeseg a Chrefydd yma ym Prifysgol Bangor, yn nodi bod creu heddwch yn mynnu mwy na chloi pennod.

Gan dynnu ar waith Derrida, Levinas, moeseg gofal ac athroniaethau perthynol Brodorol, mae’r erthygl yn awgrymu mai’r gwir gyfiawnder yw gwrando’n atebol ac yn barhaus, gan gynnwys rhwng cenedlaethau ac ar draws diwylliannau.

Darllenwch sut mae’r ‘ddemocratiaeth’ hon i wrando yn ein herio i ddychmygu heddwch fel proses fyw, drawsgenedlaethol yma: https://www.dialoguestudies.org/article/justice-beyond-resolution-intergenerational-listening-and-dialogical-justice-in-peacebuilding/

What if justice never ends, but continues through how we listen?

In a new article, ‘Justice Beyond Resolution: Intergenerational Listening and Dialogical Justice in Peacebuilding’, published in a special issue of Journal of Dialogue Studies, Dr Gareth Evans‑Jones, Lecturer in Philosophy, Ethics and Religion here at Bangor University, explores how peacebuilding demands more than closure.

Drawing on Derrida, Levinas, care ethics, and Indigenous relational philosophies, the article argues how true justice depends on ongoing, accountable listening, between generations, across cultures, and even with the more‑than‑human world.

Read how this ‘democracy of listening’ challenges us to imagine peace as a living, intergenerational process here: https://www.dialoguestudies.org/article/justice-beyond-resolution-intergenerational-listening-and-dialogical-justice-in-peacebuilding/
