Storehouse North Down exists to serve those families and individuals throughout the North Down area who have nowhere to turn. People aren’t going hungry in North Down. Having plenty of food in the cupboards is something we can easily take for granted. But what would happen if your salary stopped? You might last a few weeks, maybe even a few months, but then where would you turn? For many people in
North Down, there is no answer. Thousands live close to, or at the edge of their finances. For many, simply getting by is a struggle, so when personal crisis hits – like redundancy, illness, homelessness, separation – finding the next meal can be almost impossible. Storehouse exists to be the answer for those families and individuals throughout the North Down area who have no safety net. What if no-one in North Down had to go hungry again? Storehouse North Down is a project bringing together charities, churches, statutory agencies, community groups, businesses and individuals to fight food poverty throughout the North Down area and beyond. Storehouse is a ‘hands-on’, practical way you can take action to provide hope and a future to the most vulnerable in our communities. By working together with churches and people like you we are seeking to show God’s unconditional love and making a difference in a practical and immediate way. By partnering with established and skilled charities and bodies, Storehouse is able to provide opportunities for long term solutions that sees lives changed and not just short term aid. We work hard with our partners to help people move away from the need of support and to prevent dependency. We believe it is possible to eradicate the need for anyone in North Down, and indeed Northern Ireland to go hungry - but we need your help to get there. Affiliated with Storehouse Belfast.
