Balmedie Litter Squad We welcome everyone to join in and keep Balmedie clean and beautiful.

We are a group of volunteers made up by members of the community, that meet on the first Saturday of every month to do an organised litter pick around Balmedie village.

It must be spring! The sun has shone at last, the grass is starting to grow and the snowdrops have popped up around the village. However, lots of litter has been hidden under snow and soaked by rain, so it's time to get picking! The first litter pick of 2026 will be on Saturday 7th March, meet at School at 10, equipment provided, or bring your own, all welcome!

We are stopping monthly litter picks for the next few months but plan to take part in the Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean in March or April 26. If there are large amounts of litter accumulating though we can arrange impromptu cleanup. Both Atholl and Ross are doing a great job in the meantime, helping to keep the village clean. Please help when you can by taking litter home or putting in the bin 😊
