BALLYGOWAN SENIORS APRIL UPDATE
At our monthly meeting last Friday 17th April, we were delighted to join with P6/7 from ADPS at our Intergenerational event, held in the Village Hall. We all enjoyed a lovely morning painting with watercolours.
SENIORS LUNCH
On Friday 24th April, the Seniors enjoyed a lovely lunch in the beautiful surroundings of Rockmount Golf Club. The sun shone, the food was delicious, and we all had great company and craic. Many thanks to Jane who brought us safely there and back. Thank you too to the staff at Rockmount for their excellent Service. Ballygowan Seniors wish to thank The Boys Big Night Out, and Davidsons for their Christmas Jumper Night, back in December, which helped us have a brilliant lunch out.
UPCOMING DATES THIS WEEK
As we are celebrating International Intergenerational Month during April, we are pleased to be joining with Pupils from Carrickmannon PS on Wednesday 29th April in the Village Hall at 1pm.
Our event will take the form of a Show and Tell, when we each bring an item that is special to us, and tell everyone why it special.
It could be a necklace, bracelet, book, poem, photo, artwork, or something we have made.
Thursday 30th April- We are delighted to be invited to attend Grandparents Day at ADPS, time 10.45-11-45. We will be painting flower pots, Looking forward to all our events.

Ballygowan & District Community Association carried out a much needed litter pick this morning with the help of some volunteers and Army Cadets Ballygowan & Carryduff. You have to see it to believe the amount of rubbish that is discarded throughout the village. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to help keep our village tidy. The tea and biscuits afterwards were much needed & thoroughly enjoyed 👌💪👍

💡PUB QUIZ❓

On Saturday 2nd May at 7.30pm, the club will be hosting a Pub Quiz at Gourleys. Grab a few mates or family members and bring them along for a bit of craic. We’d love to see you there!

The entry fee will be £5 per person and there will be a 6 person limit per team.

🌿 Join Us for a Community Litter Pick!🌿

Let’s come together and make a real difference in our area. Ballygowan Community Association is organising a litter pick on Saturday 18th April, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a couple of hours, every helping hand counts. It’s a great way to get some fresh air and help keep our local area clean and welcoming for everyone.

Location: Meet at the Community Centre, Ballygowan
⏰ Time: 10am -12pm

All equipment will be provided, just bring yourself, and wear suitable clothing.

Hi to everyone in our Ballygowan Seniors Group.
Here are some dates for your diary, up to the end of April.

April 17th meet village hall 10.30-12.30. This is an Intergenerational morning with ADPS, we will be trying our hand at painting in Watercolours.

April 24th-Lunch at Rockmount Golf Club. We will discuss further at our meeting this Friday. We will travel with Billys Taxis, and our meal is booked for 12.30

April 29th- We are having an Intergenerational at the village hall with Carrickmannon PS. This will be an afternoon event at 1pm.
This is a show and tell event, when we all bring something that means a lot to us, could be a bracelet, necklace, book, ornament, something we have made etc. We all will have the opportunity to talk about the items we have brought. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming events. Thank you Charlene
