⚽ What a fantastic day at our football session! ⚽
Rossendale Works had an amazing time, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to Lancashire FA for delivering brilliant workshops with our participants and for providing new equipment 👏
We’ve also had great opportunities shared around local volunteer roles in sports clubs, which is fantastic for our community.
A special thank you to Jane Pallister for delivering excellent employment workshops – such valuable support for everyone involved 🙌

🌟 Great Start for Rossendale Works! 🌟
This morning, Rossendale Works hit the airwaves on Rossendale Radio at 9am and what a fantastic job the team did with Jake and Ang ! 🎙️👏
They shared all the amazing work happening across sport, employment, and volunteering, really showcasing the positive impact being made across the community. It was brilliant to hear the passion around pride in place and how things are moving forward.
This is a really strong start, with a clear focus on listening to what people want and need putting the community at the heart of everything. 💬❤️
Well done to everyone involved exciting times ahead! 🙌

🌿 Employability Support Session Update 🌿
Hi everyone,
Just a quick update for tomorrow’s session – we’re still meeting on Wednesday 17th at 11am.
As the Pavilion is currently closed, we’ll be going for a short walk starting from there instead 🚶‍♂️🌳
This will be a relaxed session where we can chat, connect, and share ideas. We’ll also be discussing supporting neurodiverse people in the workplace and exploring local opportunities such as gardening and other sectors 🌱
We’ll bring along some information for us to go through together and take away 👍
Please wear suitable clothing and bring a drink 💧
There will also be a bridge into CV writing, interview techniques, where to job search, and networking.

I had the opportunity to attend a really positive and productive board meeting with Rossendale Council’s Pride of Place group this week, where I delivered a presentation on the incredible progress of the Rossendale Works employment programme.

It’s inspiring to see the breadth of impactful work happening across Rossendale, driving meaningful change within our communities. The commitment to improving lives and creating opportunities is clear, and it’s fantastic to be part of that journey.

A pivotal element of Rossendale Works is supporting individuals to become more active and lead healthier lifestyles through physical activity. This not only improves wellbeing but also acts as a powerful bridge into employment, helping people build confidence, develop new skills, and ultimately move towards better, more sustainable lives.

Proud to be contributing to such positive transformation across Rossendale.
