It was great to welcome regular customer Lost Dogs Ayrshire to the Scott Country International Dumfries HQ today as they collected their new DJI Matrice 4T thermal imaging drone.
This latest addition to their search capability will be deployed across the region to help locate lost dogs, while also providing valuable aerial support in searches for missing persons, lost walkers and other search & rescue operations.
The DJI Matrice 4T is a powerful, compact platform ideally suited to rapid-response missions, featuring:
- 640 × 512 radiometric thermal camera, with High-Res Mode supporting imagery up to 1280 × 1024
- 48MP wide, medium tele and tele cameras for detailed visual searches
- Up to 112× hybrid zoom for identifying subjects from a safe distance
- Advanced low-light capabilities and NIR auxiliary illumination for night operations
Compact design at around 1.2kg, making it ideal for rapid deployment in the field
For search teams, being able to quickly cover large areas from the air and identify heat signatures can provide another invaluable tool when every minute counts.
