Calling all Ayrshire SWI members, we hope you are enjoying the Summer Break, but maybe you’re missing the fun of “Rural” Friends. Not to panic, we have a few dates for your diary, coming up soon.

AYR FLOWER SHOW - 14th/15th Aug.,
Ayr Racecourse. Come along and say “Hello” at the Federation information stand. Great to see you all !

LINE / CHAIR DANCING - Sat 22nd August in Maxwell Church Hall, Kilmaurs, 1.30 to 3pm. £12 per person. Book through your Institute.

SCAM AWARENESS - Virgin Bank Offices, 43 Alloway Street, Ayr. 1pm to 2.30pm. No cost. Book through your Institute.

Ayrshire Quarterly Meeting. 26th Sept.
This meeting is being held in Largs, our newest institute, after their kind invitation they want to meet and share time with fellow Ayrshire members. They are kindly serving us lunch, £7.50.
Any member wishing to attend let your Institute Secretary know.

Ayrshire Rural Olympics - Sat 19th Sept, teams of 4. Institutes to advise on number of teams.

Today Ayrshire Federation played host to their neighbouring federations in the South West Area, in Alloway Church Hall, Ayr. After much discussion on SWI matters, they enjoyed a lovely lunch and a great catch up, also getting to know each others Office Bearers.

Congratulations to Ayrshire Golfers, Sheila Adams (Craigie) and June Irons (Gateside) on winning the National Golf Scratch Trophy today at Glendoch Golf Club. Congratulations to Wigtonshire ladies Joanne Porter and Elizabeth Dally, winning the other trophy. Well done ladies. 👏👏👏

50 Ayrshire Federation ladies and friends journeyed south for a four day trip, staying in Newcastle. Day 2 took us to Anwick Castle and Gardens, followed on the 3rd day with a river cruise in Durham, Durham Castle and time for some retail therapy. This was followed with a stop off at the Angel of the North. After much fun, friendship, chat and laughter we headed home through the borders, having stopped at Carter Bar, to enjoy the view, and a couple of hours in Peebles. The excursion was rounded off with a meal at the Park Hotel, Kilmarnock and home with lots of memories and stories made with friends, old and new. Confirming what SWI is really all about !
