We're not all about Jam and Jerusalem, not all of us bake cakes, some are good at crafts others are good at organising. Everyone in our friendly group brings something to each meeting but more importantly friendship, belonging and a lot of laughs.
We welcome younger ladies and young at heart, in act all are welcome. Are Nosh and Natters are an important part of our identity as you can see from our recent outing to the Golden House Chinese.

At our last meeting we were very lucky to have the talented Jackie Darche give us a demonstration on using charity shop finds and household items along with a couple of bunches of supermarket flowers. She made 7 displays from scratch. She made it look very easy. Some of us even took one home.

Sorry gentleman but his is only for the ladies!!!

Our next meeting is Tuesday 16th September, 7pm at the The Axminster Guildhall when our speaker is Ashley Jones who will be enthralling us with "The Story of David Niven". Ashley is an excellant speaker and gave a very interesting talk to us on Douglas Bader last year. So do not miss this one.

David Niven was a British actor, soldier, memoirist, and novelist. He was known as a handsome and debonair leading man in Classic Hollywood films. He received an Academy Award and numerous other accolades in his lifetime, but his life journey was anything but smooth. After a troubled childhood, he encountered many setbacks before finding his calling as a screen actor, but his flourishing career was almost ended by World War 2. In this enrichment lecture, we learn about Niven's path to success, as how even 40 years after his death in 1983, he is still regarded as the ultimate chap!

New ladies are always welcome as are visitors. A nominal £5 is charged or the speaker and refreshments.
