Austrey Open Gardens

Austrey Open Gardens A selection of normally private gardens, open to the public biennially. Big, small, quirky, modern, Hooray!

A gentle stroll, a breath of fresh air, a wealth of gardening inspiration, a chat with like-minded gardeners; then a rest, a cuppa and a cake. It must be the biennial Open Gardens weekend in the quiet rural village of Austrey. Tucked away at the very tip of North Warwickshire, Austrey is a village of only 400 houses, but with a wealth of history and many listed buildings. From the splendour of the

13th century Parish Church, to the coziness of the 15th century timber-framed and thatched village pub, right down to the traditional red phone box! With local walks and friendly faces, the village itself is well worth a visit in its own right. However every other year visitors can also gain access to a number of normally private gardens for a small fee. Whether you like your gardens big or small, quirky, modern, or traditional, there really is something for everyone. Austrey is easy to get to as well, just a 5 minute drive from J11 of the M42.
