دعاء رأس السنة الهجرية
The Dua of the new Hijri year
«اللّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأَمْنِ والإيمَانِ ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالإسْلَامِ، وَجِوَارٍ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، وَرِضْوَانٍ مِنَ الرَحمنِ».
“O Allah! Bring with this year to us security and imān, safety and Islam, protection from Satan and pleasure from the al-Rahmän”
On the authority of Abdullah bin Hishām al-Taymiyy, ra, the companions of the Prophet ﷺ learned this dua when a new month or a year entered as they learned the Quran. This is a sound hadith according to al-Häfiz in Hajar al- Asqlänı in his book al-ISabah.
أخرج أبو القاسم البغوي بإسناد صحيح عن عبد اللّٰه بن هشام التيمي ل قال كان أصحاب رسول اللّٰه بلي يتعلمون الدعاء كما يتعلمون القرآن إذا دخل الشهر أو السنة : وذكر الدعاء . قال الحافظ العسقلاني في الإصابة في تمييز الصحابة 370 / 2 : وهذا موقوف على شرط الصحيح.
