Innellan just wouldn’t be the same without its Hall which is the focal point for a wide range of activities each week. The Trustees try to keep it in good order but, as with all old buildings, it constantly needs some sort of work done. Obviously this costs money but Innellan is lucky to have a local population that cares about the building. At the fundraising Table Sale last Saturday, people came to show their support for the latest improvement project and raised just short of £600 which will go to creating more storage space and improving the look of the Ladies’ toilets. Thank you to all who came along whether you were a vendor, customer or helper. Your input was much appreciated. A very special ‘thank you’ goes to those who donated to the Tombola and to the groups who use the Hall and donated generously. The Bowlers, Badminton Club, Inspiring Innellan and the Art Group were particularly generous even though none of them has a large membership. The Women’s Group donated in kind and provided loads of tasty items for the baking stall so thank you to them too. Work on the first part of the changes has already started and there may be a little bit of inconvenience for a short time but we’re sure that this will be kept to a minimum and that the Hall will be all the better when this project is completed.
