The present Ardgay Public hall replaced the original Balnagown Hall which was officially opened in 1892 and served the community well up to the mid 1960s when numerous insurmountable structural defects were found and the building was condemed as being unsafe to use. The ne

w hall was opened in 1969 and continues to be the focus for a vast majority of community activities. It serves a wide variety of sporting; recreational; educational and social uses; being used on a regular basis by Badminton; Tia-chi; Playgroup; Boys Brigade; Country Dancing club; SWRI; etc.
